Congratulations to Food Science student, Emma Ochse for being selected as a recipient for the prestigious LDEI Kansas City Scholarship! This honor recognizes her hard work and dedication to the field of Food Science while supporting the next generation of women leaders.

When asked about the scholarship Emma stated, “To me, receiving this prestigious scholarship is an affirmation that my hard work is being recognized. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect and learn from other talented women in the industry. I think this scholarship is especially meaningful for women pursuing careers in food science and related fields because it shows the community is investing in the next generation of female leaders.”

We are proud to see her passion for science, innovation, and community making an impact!

Congratulations to our 2026 Dairy Products Evaluation Team! 🧀🥛🍦🧈

They competed in the National Dairy Product Evaluation Contest on Wednesday, April 15th, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.

Over this past winter break, some Food Science students were able to travel to New Zealand for study abroad! They toured vineyards, industry plants, and were able to soak in the amazing views! This could be you next year!

FSA had their first meeting of the semester this past Tuesday! We enjoyed some lovely appetizers from the Heidelberg and Mun Choi even payed us a visit! We had a great time catching up with one another and can’t wait for future events this semester!
