First day of classes ✅ First MiSTER meeting ✅

The Columbia College Call Me MiSTER cohort is officially back! We kicked off the new school year by reconnecting, welcoming new faces, and setting the tone for another year of brotherhood, leadership, service, and growth.

Today was a beautiful Celebration of Life for our dear brother, MiSTER Raekwon D. Cave aka . Our cohort wants to send our continued prayers and condolences to his mom, Ms. Dot, his fiancé, Jasamine, and all that loved him. Thank Dr. and other faculty members in the school of education and college for attending. We also want to thank our fellow MiSTER cohorts from , , , , and for your attendance. We appreciate the love. We will continue to do the work MiSTER Cave was so passionate about! We miss and love you.

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of our beloved MiSTER Raekwon Cave. As a member of the inaugural cohort of Call Me MiSTER at Columbia College, MiSTER Cave contributed heavily to the fabric of our cohort. He created our cohort’s handshake and our tagline of CCTHATSME or as he would say it CCDATSME! As recent as Monday of this this week, he showed up for a fellow MiSTER who needed immediate help! He stepped in without hesitation. His influence and story of resilience inspired us all. He was a beloved leader in his community. He loved and mentored students and often shared his faith through his music as .

We are sending our sincere prayers and condolences to his mother, Ms. Dorothy, his fiancé, Jasamine, and all who loved him. Please keep our cohort, his family, and all that love him in your prayers going forward. We will share more information on services when we receive them. 💜🐨

MiSTER Kristian Sanchez and MiSTER Harold Nolan received the coveted Call Me MiSTER Blazer during the CMM Investiture Ceremony at Clemson University. We are so proud of them and are excited to see the impact they will make.

Yesterday, the Freshmen MiSTERs took part in New MiSTER Orientation at Clemson University along with new MiSTERs from across the state and country. We are excited about a great first year with MiSTERs Cherry, Drakeford, Gourdine, and Sainvil!
