Happy November!
Our family started a "We are thankful for. . . " chart. Every night at dinner we start off by saying who or what we each are thankful for. I took a big piece of construction paper and divided it down the middle so each kid had their own column. Super simple and it is hung on the wall in our kitchen so we can see it. When our kids say who or what they are thankful for, we always ask "why" and add it to their side of the chart. This makes for a great dinner conversation!
Today's Daily Activity: Act out your child's favorite story. Use puppets, dolls, or stuffed animals.
Orange Week!
Throughout the week, look for things that are orange.
Have your child find things that are orange around your house and outside. See if he or she can find things that are orange while you are driving or in the grocery store.
Today's Daily Activity: Show your child how to write his or her name using upper case and lower case letters.
*For example: Elizabeth instead of ELIZABETH

**Extension: After your child sorts a group of objects, ask him/her why they sorted the way they did. For example: I put all the blue objects together and all the red objects together.
Today's Daily Activity: Go for a walk with your child and collect different kinds of leaves. This is a great time to talk about why leaves change colors.
**At home you can have your child create a leaf collage on paper.
