Reminder of the KHSAA dead period starting Thursday:

The 2026 KHSAA (Kentucky High School Athletic Association) mandatory summer dead period runs from June 25 at 12:01 a.m. through July 9 at 11:59 p.m.

During this two-week mandated break, the following rules apply:
No Contact: All communication between coaches and student-athletes (including phone calls, text, social media, and in-person) is strictly prohibited.
No Facilities: There is to be no use of school facilities, uniforms, equipment, or transportation for any KHSAA-sanctioned sport or sport-activity.
No School Funds:No school funds may be spent in support of interscholastic athletics during this period.

The KHSAA mandates this shutdown annually to give athletes, coaches, and families a chance to rest, recharge, and step away from year-round athletic pressures.

Open to boys and girls in Grades K-5 for the 26/27 school year.
$50 per child ($35 for each additional sibling)
Cash or check payment required on first day of camp.

Attention Adair County Parents/Guardians! As we prepare for the upcoming season, we need YOUR help enrolling your child in Healthy Roster. This will allow for easy communication of injuries/illnesses, tracking of document expiration dates, and easy uploads of physicals documents! If your child is in 3rd-12th grade and plans to participate in a sport/band/color guard/JROTC, please fill out the form below (1 form per child). Once you submit, be on the lookout for an email in 1-3 days from Healthy Roster to activate your account (Don’t skip this step…check your spam box)! Huge congratulations to Dawson Gilbert on signing to continue both his academic and basketball careers at Anderson University!

Dawson was a highlight reel every time he stepped on the court, but what makes him truly special is the outstanding person, student, and leader he is off the court. He has represented Adair County with class, hard work, and dedication, and he will be greatly missed in the halls of Adair County High School.

We have no doubt that Dawson will continue to accomplish great things at Anderson University, both in the classroom and on the
hardwood.
