Last week, a lively group of thirty-three middle and high school students came together at The University of South Carolina School of Music for the 2024 University of South Carolina Musical Theatre Summer Intensive! It was an exciting opportunity for young performers to immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre and hone their skills in a vibrant and supportive environment. The intensive continues this week for a cohort of college-bound students who will shoot a final pre-screen video and learn how to prepare for college admissions auditions.

Introducing our SMTI faculty!:
Amy Brower-Instructor of Acting

Casting director AMY BROWER received her BA in Theatre from Anderson University in 2008 and has worked on all sides of the industry as an actor, designer, producer, and award-winning filmmaker. In 2020, Amy founded Brower Casting, Columbia's premier casting agency that delivers top-notch regional talent to ADDY Award-winning agencies and film makers throughout the South East. She loves seeing actors succeed, and has actively coached and mentored emerging actors through the early stages of their careers. Her work includes casting and producing feature films and short films currently making waves on the international festival circuit and various streaming platforms. Most recently, she has joined the talent management team at BAM Management (NY/LA) with a focus on talent development.
