Sunshine, fresh air, and learning outside—some things never go out of style!☀️
One of our favorite things about being a Highlander is that learning happens everywhere, including under the trees and in the great outdoors.
As summer rolls on, we're enjoying these sunny memories from campus. What adventures do you have planned this summer?

Heathwood Hall mourns the loss of beloved educator Sue Swick, whose impact on generations of students and colleagues will be felt for years to come.
Mrs. Swick devoted many years to teaching seventh grade English and Humanities at Heathwood, inspiring a lifelong love of learning through her creativity, enthusiasm, and deep care for her students. Her contributions to our school community were recognized with the Devanny Award, and a middle school service award was established in her honor.
From cherished traditions like student-written holiday books to memorable literary celebrations, Mrs. Swick brought joy, imagination, and purpose to the classroom. Even after retiring, her love of teaching called her back, and she continued shaping young lives until 2020.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and all who were fortunate enough to know and learn from her.

Last night, we celebrated the close of another wonderful school year with our incredible Heathwood faculty and staff. The evening included recognizing years of service, a Chapel Service, and plenty of food, fun, and time together as a community.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to Jonathan Monk for 9 years of outstanding service and Brooke Whiteman for 25 years of dedicated service to Heathwood. Thank you both for the lasting impact you made on our school community. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in your next chapters.
We are deeply grateful for all of our faculty and staff and everything they do to make Heathwood so meaningful. Wishing our entire Heathwood community a restful, joyful, and amazing summer!
