The time has come to kick off a new school year! We are excited to have teachers here preparing to welcome students back next week.

We have meticulously prepared a comprehensive SHSD Back to School Information, a one-stop resource for electronic versions of back-to-school information, supply lists, school hours, school calendars, and more. This resource is designed to ensure that you are fully prepared for the upcoming school year.

Here are a few pieces of key information for families:

9/3/2024 First Day of School
Private-pay childcare/preschool students.
Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - Columbia City/Lewis & Clark/McBride Elementary
Grades 6, 9, and new students to the district - St. Helens Middle School/ St. Helens High School
Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 - St. Helens Virtual Academy
Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 - Plymouth High School

9/4/2024 First Day of School (NO EARLY RELEASE)
7, 8, 10, 11, 12 - St. Helens Middle School/St. Helens High School

Please note that the first Wednesday of the school year, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, is NOT a scheduled early release date. The first scheduled early release date is Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Please refer to the community calendar for the complete 2024-2025 school year information.

Busing Information:
Families will receive a ParentSquare notification with bus information specific to their student(s) by the end of the week. This information can also be found in ParentVue. If you have specific questions regarding busing, please contact Durham School Services at 503-397-9072.

7:45 am - 2:15 pm
12:45 pm Early Release Wednesday (starting September 11, 2024)

St. Helens Middle School
8:30 am - 3:00 pm
1:30 pm Early Release Wednesday (starting September 11, 2024)

St. Helens High School / Plymouth High School
8:20 am - 3:30 pm
1:50 pm Early Release Wednesday (starting September 11, 2024)

St. Helens Virtual Academy
8:00 am - 4:00 pm (School office & teacher hours)
1:50 pm Early Release Wednesday (starting September 11, 2024)

Students Meals:
Every student in the St. Helens School District is eligible to receive free meals! This is made possible through an agreement with the Oregon Department of Education, valid through January 1, 2028.

Attention families! Community Action Team & the Portland Diaper Bank have teamed up to bring diapers to Columbia County.

The next distribution to support families in need is coming up. Join us:
