I’m looking for a local photographer who would be interested in coming to Miss Becca’s Little Explorers to take pictures of the children.

Ideally, I’d love to have 2–3 pictures of each child as well as a group photo. I’m hoping to find someone who offers quality photos at reasonable prices, has experience working with children, and has some flexibility with scheduling since we would need to work around our daycare schedule.

I’m not sure my husband knew what he was getting into all those years ago. 😂

I’m pretty sure when we started this life together, he didn’t picture our home becoming childcare, our yard becoming an extension of the classroom, or moving an entire playground climber into the garage to protect a monarch chrysalis. 🦋😂

But through all of it, he has always supported me and somehow just goes along with whatever crazy idea I come up with next.

He has watched me turn our home into a place where so many little people learn, play, explore and grow, and he’s never made me feel like my big ideas were too much. He just helps make them happen.

I’m really grateful for the life we’ve built together and for a husband who supports not only me, but all the little adventures that come with being married to me. ❤️

Although… I’m still not sure he fully understood the childcare-in-the-house part. 😂

Not only are our Little Explorers growing up before our eyes, but nature all around us is too. 🍂🦋

The leaves are beginning to change, the air is getting cooler, and today we got to watch another little piece of nature’s transformation as our monarch caterpillar made its chrysalis right before us.

There’s something pretty special about watching all of these changes happen together. 💚

Second week of the program year and we’ve been enjoying as much of the sunshine and fresh air as we can! ☀️🍂 The air is definitely getting cooler, and the leaves are starting to change. We’re soaking up these last little bits of summer while welcoming all the signs of fall! 🍁

Some of our friends couldn’t wait to get their bodies moving this morning, while a few others were having a serious case of the Mondays (on Tuesday)

Either way, we got some fresh air, got our bodies moving, and started our day on the trail!

🥹💚 WE DID IT! 💚🥹
Yesterday we celebrated reaching 80% of our $2,000 Outdoor Adventure Fund goal… and today, we officially reached 100%! 🎉🌲
$2,000 raised! 🙌
I am honestly so incredibly grateful for every donation, every share, every encouraging message, and everyone who has cheered us on along the way.
Now comes the really exciting part — putting these funds to work! I’ll be going through the gear we currently have, figuring out where the missing pieces are, and ordering what I can. We’ll also be checking sizes for each child currently in care so we can make sure everyone is ready to get outside and explore, no matter what the weather brings. 🥾🧤❄️🌧️
Our wagon and toddler inserts have already arrived, and I’ve already been able to make a big dent in our winter gear needs. There’s still some organizing and shopping to do, but this fundraiser has made such a huge difference in what we’re able to provide.

IT’S HERE! 🥹🌲🚙
Our Veer Cruiser XL and BOTH toddler comfort seats arrived today! 🎉
This has been one of the biggest pieces of our Outdoor Adventure Fund, and seeing it sitting here ready for our Little Explorers to use makes this all feel so real. ❤️
And thanks to all of you, we’ve now raised $1,600 of our $2,000 goal — 80% funded! 🙌
I’ve also been able to make a really good dent in our winter gear needs, finding boots, coats, snow gear, and other essentials for our Outdoor Gear Closet. There are still some sizes and pieces we need to fill in, and I’m continuing to work toward having a collection that gives every child access to what they need to get outside comfortably, regardless of the season.
We are now just $400 away from our goal! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, sent gear our way, or simply cheered us on. What started as an idea to give our Little Explorers more opportunities to explore outdoors is really coming together. 🌲🥾💚
