New Summit Charter Academy is a Tuition-Free, Public K-8
Charter School in Academy District 20.
New Summit Charter Academy, is one of two charter schools within Academy District 20 in Colorado Springs, CO. New Summit Charter Academy was founded as a tuition-free, K-6 elementary school in 2018, added grade 7 in 2019, and then grade 8 and preschool in 2020, and hopes to open a high school in future years as our K-8 program continues to grow. New Summit believes in teaching children a love of learning and inspiring them to reach new summits.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as we celebrated our amazing 5th graders during their continuation ceremony. Laughter, smiles, heartfelt hugs, and happy tears, it was a day filled with so much emotion and pride.
Watching these students grow, learn, and prepare for their next chapter in middle school has been such a special journey. We are beyond proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see all they accomplish next.

Last day of Kindergarten = turning the hallways into a dance floor
Our students and staff understood the assignment this morning — big smiles, fun moves, and ALL the happy energy for our kindergarten crew!
We’re celebrating our littles today… and yes, trying not to get emotional about how much they’ve grown this year.
Rain couldn’t stop the fun! Our elementary students brought the energy indoors for an unforgettable Field Day filled with games, laughter, teamwork, and nonstop smiles.
Competitions in the hallways and creative challenges in the gym made this last Monday of the school year one to remember for our Yetis!
