Job description:
Key Requirements (Please read before applying)
PDIS Level 2 or higher
Minimum 2,500 hours experience with children ages 3–5 in a preschool classroom
Comfortable leading a classroom and guiding assistant teachers
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Because we are a ratio-based program, reliable attendance is essential.

Creekside Kids is a small, relationship-centered early childhood program in Colorado Springs influenced by Reggio-inspired practices.

We value meaningful interactions and child-led learning over worksheets or scripted curriculum.
Responsibilities
Lead daily classroom routines and transitions for preschool-aged children
Maintain active supervision of all children at all times
Ensure children are accounted for during transitions and pickup
Support children’s emotional development and positive behavior guidance
Guide assistant teachers and communicate expectations clearly
Provide engaging learning experiences inspired by children’s interests
Communicate professionally with families and leadership
Maintain accurate attendance and documentation (ChildPilot)
Ensure classroom cleanliness and compliance with Colorado licensing standards
Teachers are encouraged to observe children closely and build learning experiences from their interests
Qualifications
PDIS Level 2 or higher
Minimum 2,500 hours documented experience working with children ages 3–5
Experience should include:
supervising a preschool group
managing classroom transitions
maintaining safe ratios
supporting daily classroom routines
guiding assistant teachers or support staff
Candidates should demonstrate:
consistent attendance and reliability
confidence leading a classroom environment
strong supervision and organization skills
calm, respectful interactions with children
Must be able to lift 30 lbs and actively supervise indoors and outdoors.
