Exciting day at the Olympic Training Center! 🚌🥇

Our Early Connections kids had such a busy and unforgettable adventure today! They hopped on the bus and headed to the OTC, where they were treated to special story time with Olympian wrestler Adeline Gray, a world champion and Olympic silver medalist, and Second Lady Usha Vance!

Both amazing guests took turns reading to the kids, making it a truly special experience.

A huge thank you to the Olympic Training Center for being such generous hosts! The kids also enjoyed coloring pages, pinball games, the mascot, and lots of other fun activities.

What a memorable day! ❤️

Our Day Nursery students had the wonderful opportunity to welcome author and illustrator Sam Vinson, who visited to read his book, The Hippopotamus Thesaurus. The children loved every moment of this fun, creative, and educational experience!

Thank you, Sam, for sharing your time, talent, and love of storytelling with our kids. Moments like these help inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning, and we are so grateful you spent the day with us.

Today, Early Connections was honored to be invited by Colorado Springs City Council member David Leinweber to participate in the City Council Mental Health Awareness Proclamation in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.

This invitation reflects the important work happening across our organization every day to support the whole child. It’s also recognition by Councilmember Leinweber of our behavioral health supports as an upstream solution to the many mental health challenges we see in our community. Through our intentional investment in Behavioral Health programming, Early Connections continues to go beyond what is traditionally expected in early childhood education by integrating emotional, behavioral, and social supports directly into the classroom experience.
