Meet Our New Staff!

We’re so excited to welcome Fiona Breon to the TdVA family! This is Fiona’s third year teaching, after spending her first two years teaching first grade. She’s looking forward to getting to know her students and families this year!

A few fun facts about Fiona:
-She grew up in Chicago and has called Colorado home for 7 years.
-She and her husband recently celebrated 6 years of marriage and are parents to their one-year-old son, Barrett.
-They recently moved onto 6 acres and became proud chicken owners!
-They love riding their side-by-side in the mountains and exploring old mining ghost towns.

Meet Our New Staff!

Please join us in welcoming Coach McGarva, our new Movement/P.E. Teacher at TdVA!

Coach McGarva is excited to join the TdVA family and brings 12 years of experience teaching elementary P.E. to our school community. A proud Colorado native from Evergreen, Coach McGarva enjoys staying active through soccer, hockey, mountain biking, and motocross.

We are so excited to have Coach McGarva on our team and can’t wait for our students to get moving and have fun this school year!

Our staff is back, and we are ready for an amazing year!

This first week back was all about reconnecting, learning, collaborating, and getting ready to welcome our students back! From professional learning and planning together to celebrating as a team at the D20 rally, our staff has been busy preparing for another incredible year of learning.

We can't wait to see our students and families and officially kick off the new school year tomorrow!

Our indoor field day was a huge success thanks to our teachers, staff, volunteers, and students! A huge shoutout to our favorite Movement teacher, Mrs. Wood for creating an amazing day of activity, conversation, and teamwork centered around our Character Traits!

Mrs. Vazquez's kindergarten class celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by trying mochi and making colorful origami! We enjoyed learning about different cultures and traditions!
