As part of our Community Connections Series, MOSAIC is hosting a Guatemalan Bracelet Making Event to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Come by the Student Life Lounge on Tuesday, Sept 15th from 2:00-5:00 PM and make a colorful Guatemalan Bracelet to add to your wardrobe, gift to a friend, or learn about this cultural staple in Guatemalan Communities!

" This event is free and open to UCCS students. Meet us in La Plata House Commons on Wednesday, September 9th, from 4:00 - 5:30pm.

Join the Education Abroad team for the Study Abroad Fair on Thursday, September 10th, from 11AM-3PM in Berger Hall! This event is free and open to the UCCS community. Get the opportunity to learn from our partnered study abroad program providers and enjoy some international treats.

Established in 2024, the MOSAIC Scholars Program is a free, year-long program that equips students with an academic and professional toolkit to advance equity at UCCS and beyond. Students who join the program will be guided through four pillars of leadership: Professional Development, Academic Confidence, Personal/Identity Growth, and Community Service.

Scholars will attend free monthly workshops, academic courses, professional panels, career fairs, and even go on field trips across the state. At the end of their year, these scholars will receive:
• MOSAIC Orange Stole for Graduation Year
• Personalized Padfolio of Work
• Letter of Reference from the MOSAIC Department

Number of Spots Open: 20for the entire year
Registration Opens: TODAY, August 24th
Registration Ends: September 13th at 11:59PM

The MOSAIC Department offers a variety of programs designed for students to connect, learn, grow, and have fun! Whether you are seeking peer mentorship and deepened professional development or looking to be in community with other first-gen students- the MOSAIC has something for every part of your college journey. Programs are free for UCCS students and require registration to participate. Registration opens on Monday August 24th and closes on Sunday, September 13th.
