Hi AcademyACL Grads,
It's with a heavy heart that I share that Ms. Sherrie Beth Horn, one of our founding DV teachers, passed away Friday, January 19, from cancer. While she had not taught with us for several years, she will always be a member of our AcademyACL family and will be greatly missed by all of us. She was a champion of physics for all ages, always excited to work with colleagues to integrate the arts into science, engineering, and math, and was a wonderful mentor and friend.
We invite you to join with Sherrie Beth Horn's family and friends in Colorado Springs to celebrate her life on Sunday, January 28, from 3pm to 5pm, at Heart of the Springs Church in the main level sanctuary at 2726 North Union. The church will have other activities occurring in their basement at that time, so please come through the main doors facing the mountains, unless you need elevator assistance.
We will have a slideshow, and a chance for people to share memories, in a simple get-together. We have not planned for onsite food, so please feel free if you wish to make dinner plans with others following the time together. Please feel free to come in comfortable clothing, and/or clothing that would make Sherrie laugh (tiaras included!).
