Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado

We are pleased to announce the consolidation of Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain (JA-Rocky Mountain), which covers Metro Denver and communities in the northern half of Colorado and southern Wyoming; and Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado (JA of Southern Colorado), which covers Colorado Springs and communities in the southern half of Colorado, effective on November 4. The combined organization will create a statewide operation under the name JA-Rocky Mountain.

This strategic move comes at a time when there is unprecedented momentum and interest in career-connected learning that accelerates economic opportunity and mobility for students.

Dr. Regina English, El Paso County Representative in the Colorado General Assembly for House District 17, recently shared her time during a Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado volunteer event. Students were inspired by her education and career path story, and loved the hands-on activities of the JA Fundamentals program. This program brings financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills to students across our community to prepare them to have the confidence to thrive!

We appreciate the enthusiasm Dr. English brought on the day, and she really does live by her motto of “Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready.”

🎃 Too many students are stuck in a haunting cycle of boredom and disengagement — up to 60% feel lost in school, and half of Gen Z lacks purpose. At JA, we're here to break the curse with hands-on learning that awakens passion and purpose! 🕯️✨

Here at Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado, we would like to shout out Erin Genz, a seasoned volunteer, for continuously sharing her time empowering students right here in Colorado Springs.

Erin understands the importance of students having financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills, and is happy to share her time building the confidence of our future leaders! Erin is also an engineer and is passionate about incorporating STEM into her lessons as well.
