We issued permits for a Sportsbook Bar and Grill inside the Springhill Suites and Element Hotel at S. Tejon and Costilla.

It's a $1 Million commercial interior finish project to bring this popular sports bar to the Pikes Peak region.

Root for Justice: Ministry plants trees to bring cooler air and 'food forest' to Hillside neighborhood 06/05/2025

🌳 On May 30, community came together—and something beautiful took root. Allison Serafin Steere of the Colorado Tree Coalition, architect Mark Tremmel, Randy Wade of Colarelli Construction, and a host of passionate volunteers planted 24 trees (19 different species!) outside the former Helen Hunt Elementary School—soon to be Helen Hunt Family Housing, a transitional housing project for families exiting homelessness.

Colarelli Construction is honored to support Catholic Charities of Central Colorado and this transformative development. Together with Root for Justice and the Colorado Springs community, we’re helping create more than just housing—we’re cultivating hope, sustainability, and second chances.

Root for Justice: Ministry plants trees to bring cooler air and 'food forest' to Hillside neighborhood Members of the new Root for Justice ministry at First Congregational United Church of Christ planted 94 trees Friday and Saturday in the Hillside neighborhood southeast of downtown. Friday added 24 fruit, nut and evergreen trees to build a “food forest” at the Hunt Family Housing development.
