This Saturday, June 6, is National Trails Day. Colorado Springs Christian 4-Wheelers will be working with USFS Pikes Peak Ranger District on the annual trail cleanup project.

Clubs do so much work behind the scenes to assist public lands managers--we were with Big Thompson 4-Wheelers last weekend to pre-run several of the club's adopted roads and clear wind-blown trees and deadfall.

Thirteen rigs and fifteen pairs of hands made relatively 'light' work--I lost count of trees at around 24, cleared from main routes and campsite spurs along Button Rock, Johnny Park, and Pierson Park in the Boulder and Canyon Lakes Ranger Districts.
