EPISODE 5 | ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE
In this one big life we have, are the little things insignificant or do they mean everything?
Does how we care for people, places, things and our own time put us to sleep or actually wake us up to our lives?
Welcome to Life Drawing with your hosts, Cottonwood Executive Director Jon Khoury and Literary Open Mic Night host, Writer's Studio and Drawing instructor, Jacqueline Viola Moulton! A show about navigating the arts, life, and digressing. Brought to you by Cottonwood Center for the Arts.
We are beyond thrilled to welcome the new featured artist of Cottonwood's SMOL, (the tiniest residency ever) KIMBERLY SEWELL! Congratulations ! We can't wait to see what you create.
SMOL is a 6-month residency culminating in a solo show displayed in our main gallery.
Kimberly's exhibition will feature a series of abstract, wall mounted soft sculptures exploring the theme of “Home” and will open First Friday, November 6th, 2026.
Follow the ARTIST RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITIES link in our bio for more information. Stay tuned!
Kimberly Sewell is a creator and educator located in Pueblo, Colorado. Much of Kimberly’s work is motivated by her lived experience as a q***r, chronically ill, disabled, and neurodivergent creator. Her love for cats and experience fostering neo-natal kittens also heavily influences her work. Humor and curiosity are throughlines in her work across collections and mediums. Kimberly is drawn to work that invites play and deep questioning and self reflection. In her more recent work, Kimberly is working towards greater abstraction, inviting viewers to bring their own experience and interpretation to the work.
