🌟 Back-to-School Success Starts NOW! 🌟
Summer might be winding down, but the new school year is full of opportunities for success—especially in AP and advanced science classes. Whether your child is stepping into AP Biology, Environmental Science, or another challenging course, the habits they build NOW will shape their entire year.

Here are 5 steps to set your student up for success before school starts:

1. Refresh Core Skills – Review key topics from last year (cell structure, basic chemistry, or ecology concepts). Even 15–20 minutes a day will make the first few weeks easier.

2. Set a Study Schedule – Create a simple weekly routine: 3–4 short study blocks focused on review, vocabulary, or practice problems.

3. Organize Materials Early – A dedicated binder or digital notebook, color-coded sections, and a simple note-taking system (like Cornell notes) make a HUGE difference.

4. Practice Active Recall – Flashcards, self-quizzing, and teaching concepts back to someone else are powerful memory boosters.

5. Establish “Focus Zones” – Limit distractions. Find a quiet, organized space for homework and study time (no phones or TikTok during review!).

Parents: Ask your child what their goals are for the year. Start building small, consistent habits now, so they don’t feel overwhelmed once the pace picks up in September.

As the school year comes to an end, it’s easy to slip into summer break mode and let learning take a backseat. But did you know that summer is the perfect time to keep your brain sharp and stay ahead? 🧠💡

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents: While your kids are taking a well-deserved break, they don't have to stop growing! A little daily learning can go a long way in preventing that dreaded “summer slide”—when students forget key concepts and skills. Keeping their minds engaged now means they’ll be even more ready for the challenges of next school year.
