It was with a very heavy heart and extreme sadness that I share the very sad news that Diplomate Emeritus, Dr. Norman "Skip" Sperber passed away today at 93 years old of a recent illness. Dr. Sperber was the longtime Chief Forensic Odontologist for San Diego and Imperial Counties in California. He practiced dentistry graduating from NYU in 1955 until his retirement in the early 2000s. In addition, Dr. Sperber was a Deputy Reservist with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department for 30 years. He was a leader and a mentor to many in the field of forensic dentistry and will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a son Jim, a daughter Jill, and two grandchildren, Jonah and Olivia.

It is with a heavy heart that the Board announces the passing of Robert G Williams, DDS, D-ABFO (retired). Dr. Robert Williams was a practicing dentist in Dallas where he was the Chief Forensic Odontologist for the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences. He was a consultant to the Attorney General’s office of the State of Texas, the U.S. District Attorney’s Office, Texas Rangers, and the Judge Advocate General’s Office, U.S. Dept. of the Navy. He was an Associate Clinical Professor for the Baylor College of Dentistry and a member of D-MORT region VI. He will be missed by all.
