May Faire 2026
What a beautiful day.
Flower crowns, music, laughter, dancing ribbons, handmade crafts, smiling faces, and a campus full of community. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the turning of the season with us.
To our volunteers, staff, performers, vendors, families, neighbors, and all the helping hands behind the scenes — thank you for making this day feel so warm and alive.
There’s something special about watching children run freely through a space filled with creativity, nature, and connection. We’re grateful to share moments like this together.
Until next year. 🌞

Mountain Song Community School is entering an important season of transition and growth.
Over the past several weeks, the hiring committee for our Director of Education position has been conducting first-round interviews and identifying a strong group of candidates. Selected candidates will soon visit campus to connect with staff and students as part of the next phase of the process.
As part of our commitment to transparency and community collaboration, the MSCS Board will host a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, May 26 from 5:30 – 6:30pm in the gym to discuss leadership transitions and how we move forward together as a school community.
Food will be provided, so come hungry, grab some Jimmy John's, settle in with community, and enjoy an evening of conversation and connection. Child care will also be available to help make it easier for families to attend.
We hope you’ll join us as we continue shaping the future of Mountain Song together.

What a magical day at this year’s May Faire! Our community gathered under the beautiful Colorado Springs sky to celebrate with laughter, creativity, and plenty of enchantment. Guests enjoyed beautiful maypole dancing with intricate ribbon designs, while families explored crafts, games, wand-making, face painting, and so much more. Sweet treats added to the festivities, and a little afternoon rain arrived just as the day was winding down.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in and supported the MSCS May Faire, which brought in $7,170 for our school community!

♥️ Today we’re celebrating our teachers a little extra ♥️
The ones who tell the stories, guide the work, and make space for all the human moments. The ones who see each child and meet them where they are.
It’s thoughtful, patient, (very) hard work that makes a world of difference.
We’re grateful for you. Happy National Teacher Day.

Geography you can taste.
Some of our 5th graders recently explored Canada through poutine, a Quebec favorite made of fries, cheese curds, and savory gravy. Thank you to Cods Wallop on Colorado Avenue for helping bring this lesson to life.
Sometimes hands-on learning comes on a plate.
