Talbott STEAM Innovation School

For the 3rd year in a row, we are happy to announce that Talbott has been named a No Place for Hate school! We are proud of the work our tigers do everyday to model kindness and inclusiveness, and to combat hate. Thank you to our leaders in S2S (Student 2 Student) who have helped create lessons and model the No Place for Hate pledge daily!

Talbott Field Day 2026 Part 1!

Our Kindergartners finished their final Lego projects during Innovation Lab! These young engineers built futuristic ocean vehicles. Kinder spent most of their Innovation Lab time learning all about ocean discovery, ocean animal rescue, and how to take care of our oceans.

Over the past few weeks, 5th grade took a weekly field trip to do the Starbase program on Peterson Military Base. This program is a 5-day hands-on field trip with curriculum focused on STEAM topics. Students engaged in challenging activities like 3D computer design, Newtonian physics labs, rocket engineering, and interactive technology experiments!

TSIS completed our school-wide Project Based Learning(PBL) initiative, a Colorado Springs Natural History Museum! We had a special tour guide, Mr. J.A. Talbott (aka Mr. Leclau) take us through each grade level’s topic they researched. Students got to explore and learn!

Talbott Candy Land Dance! Thank you to our awesome PTO and staff for putting on this year’s dance. Families enjoyed food trucks, a Photo Booth, and dancing with a DJ in the gym! Thank you everyone for joining in the fun!

1st grade has been studying animal adaptations in PLTW! They had to create adaptations for their own traveler so they can survive in different habitats.
