About 2 weeks ago, IEC Southern Colorado staff and contractor members met with U.S. Congressman Jeff Crank for lunch for the second consecutive year. There was a roundtable discussion that lasted over an hour, and Congressman Crank bent and signed a piece of conduit!

It has been a busy week of New Student Orientations for our August start date! Last week, we got to go to Salida for orientation with our first four students that will attend IEC Southern Colorado classes at the Colorado Mountain College Salida location. Huge thanks to Alex, on the far right of the photo, who will be teaching the class!

The IEC Southern Colorado Team is heading to Salida today to prepare for our upcoming class at Colorado Mountain College. We will be back in the office tomorrow at 10am.

Books for the 2026/2027 school year are here! 🤩

Our pre-apprenticeship students competed to see who could attach wires to a receptacle correctly (and near perfectly) the quickest. 🔌
Our winners then got to choose from a few t-shirt designs, and they definitely had a favorite out of the five options.
👕 Current students: keep an eye out for giveaway opportunities when the school year starts and you could win your own!
