A huge thank-you to the Area Speleological Society for very generously supporting two days of CaveSim programs this coming week. We will be at Pocahontas State Park on Monday from 9:30AM - 5:30PM and at the Children's Museum of Richmond on Tuesday from 9:30AM - 5:00PM. Both events are free and open to the public, and no tickets or reservations are needed. We hope to see you there!

🪨✨ Get ready for an exciting day of exploration! CMoR Downtown will host a special Cave Simulation Adventure with CaveSim and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation!

Children will have the chance to crawl, climb, and explore a realistic cave environment while learning about geology, teamwork, and problem-solving in a safe and engaging way.

This experience is included with museum admission and is perfect for curious young explorers eager to learn through play.

So glad to be back at Luray Caverns with CaveSim this week! We've had lots of adventurous kids and adults explore, including members of the National Caves Association!

Check it out! Our friends from CaveSim 👷‍♀️ are here all week with their crawl-through electronic cave simulator. Come by Luray Caverns now through Friday 9/26 and learn all about exploring cave systems without disturbing cave formations. Yes, they’ve even got cave bacon 🥓.

CaveSim designs, builds, and uses interactive caves to teach kids about conservation and science, but this experience is also fun for adults!

Ruby Falls is hosting CaveSim on September 19 and 20 from 10AM - 4PM for a free event. If you're in Chattanooga, come by to check it out. If you have friends in Chattanooga, let them know! Also, a huge thank-you to Dale and Denise for allowing us to stay with them!

A big thank-you to Nigel Dyson-Hudson and Southeast Expedition Medical for donating several emergency foot loops for us to use in CaveSim educational programs and trainings. Nigel also donated an inclinometer and survey tape measure which we used to teach kids at the 2025 NSS Convention.
