Thank you for you interest in AutoShop Vocational (ASV) and/or Car Part Art. For the better part of a decade teaching the automotive vocation has been my goal and its fruition is finally here. ASV is currently a small network doing big things and always looking to expand. Support comes in a variety of ways including donations of time, money and items. Current needs are an automotive 2 or 4 post li

ft and tire machine. In July of 2011 Gregg "3G" Sheldon quit his job as a social worker when he realized the youth population he favored working with needed a trade (experienced Based Learning) as the school curriculum (knowledge Based Learning) was not working for them. Gregg had maxed out as far as he could go in the Social Work field with a BA to follow his pipe dream (to teach the automotive vocation). 3G then completed a year long β€œjob training” course in July 2012 and began his second career as an Automotive Technician. Fast-forward a few years and several jobs in the field and matriculated to developing ASV. There are four revenue streams involved with AutoShop Vocational, first is a 10 Week program meets twice a week for 6 hours to provide its graduates (homeschoolers and selected students from Life Skills High School District 11) the fundamentals of the automotive vocation and even prep them for a career in the field. Next stream is a two part workshop teaching a gas pump check up (checking your tires for tread and air, also engine oil, coolant and other fluids) the second part is a tire and oil change. Third is sales from Car Part Art see attached pictures, and the last revenue stream is AutoShop Club. ASC is a donation based membership that awards its members double their monthly donation in automotive repair for that month. For example John donates $50 a month for his ASC membership and we will complete $100 in labor at the school that month if needed. Furthermore expansion plans include a curriculum for Veterans, satellite locations throughout the state for homeschool students and re-entry program for convicts is in the scope of expansion. Support is needed in all areas including donations, networking and feedback. Please if you have interest in any of these please reply to this email and we will do our very best to utilize any assistance you would graciously provide.

Oh so true!!

Just a reminder (and even to myself). An hour a day on your project serves huge benefit to a quick and fun project completion! The best part is everyone has the time. Morning, Noon, Night it doesn’t matter!

This makes it easier to stay on top of needed parts and hardware/supplies. Keeps your brain fresh. Compartmentalizes projects to keep from being overwhelmed, and creates realistic work. Just like the tortoise and the rabbit, the slow and steady wins. You’ll never be able to finish projects working 12 hour weekend days because you will hit things that are not able to be overcome and parts/hardware needs ruin productivity.

This absolutely works and will change your productivity immensely!

We were having this discussion yesterday, some of the students we have hd act like they know everything and ridicule other students for not knowing as much as they do... We (as kindly as possible) remind them that they did not come out of the womb knowing how to change spark plugs and that they were lucky they had someone in their lives to teach them! Sometime they understand!!discussion

So today's lesson is don't let the negative talk get to you, just remember those people have to live their lives that way!!
