And one final stop on Mrs. Cerenzia’s Colorado tour- Colorado College! Famous for their Block Plan, CC students take one class for 3.5 weeks. Their are four blocks per semester and eight blocks per year. Students can also take a Half Block during winter and summer breaks. CC also reached their goal of being carbon neutral in 2020. Amazing things are happening here.
PS- If you visit CC’s campus, be sure to swing by the Garden of the Gods ten minutes away from campus (pictured).

Day 2 for Mrs. Cerenzia was spent at University of Colorado Boulder. A research university that focuses on faculty mentoring, leadership programs, and the environment, CU has just over 30,000 undergraduates. Despite its size, CU still maintains an 18:1 student to faculty ratio. Go Buffs!

Checking in from the mile high city, Mrs. Cerenzia is on The Peak to Peak college tour. First stop- University of Denver. This institution is more than just home to the NCAA Division I Men’s ice hockey champions! Highlights of the day included touring the Lamont School of Music, Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management, and Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science. With over 100 degree programs to choose from, DU did not disappoint! There were also spectacular views! 🗻

We are so happy to be back on college campuses. While attending a conference, Mrs. Cerenzia had the opportunity to visit Mount Holyoke College and Smith College, two of the Seven Sisters. The Seven Sisters, a consortium of prestigious East Coast liberal arts colleges for women, originally included Mount Holyoke, Vassar, Smith, Wellesley, Bryn Mawr, Barnard, and Radcliffe colleges. Today, five of the Seven Sisters remain women’s colleges; Vassar is coeducational and Radcliffe has merged with Harvard, becoming the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
