The College of Business is thrilled to announce the promotion of Brianna Newland, Ed.D., to Interim Dean of the UCCS College of Business.

Dr. Newland brings decades of experience in higher education and has taught a wide range of courses, including Research Methods, Event Management, Sustainable Tourism, Sport Marketing, and served as a Senior and Graduate Thesis Advisor.

Before joining UCCS, she served as the Academic Director of Undergraduate Programs for the Tisch Institute for Global Sport at New York University. Her research focused on the long-term sustainability of sport organizations by examining how participation in sport can be cultivated and sustained, as well as the factors that encourage or hinder adult participation.

Dr. Newland has also taught at the University of Delaware, the University of Texas at Austin, and Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.

From all of us at the UCCS College of Business, we are excited to have Dr. Newland leading our team. Congratulations, Dr. Newland!
