Our students were some of the 500 4th graders who took part in the Pikes Peak Water Festival at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame! Check out our students as they engage in interactive stations that explore the many dimensions of water.

These hands-on activities introduce complex water issues in an accessible way while highlighting potential future careers in water, science, and environmental stewardship.

Did someone say progress? 🎉 GES received 2025–2026 attendance results and we’re celebrating big gains again this week: the chronic absenteeism rate (missing 17+ days in a school year) dropped from 33.5% in 24-25 to 23.1% last school year. A huge thank-you to our families for partnering with us! ❤️

This week, we're celebrating Coach CJ, our amazing Physical Education Teacher! Coach CJ has a special gift for connecting with students and helping them discover activities they're passionate about.

And now for our next big Wildcat celebration! Big win for our multilingual learners! 🐐✨ Giberson earned the GOAT Trophy for some of the highest growth in D2 on the 2026 ACCESS Testing our multilingual learners take yearly. Our Culturally & Linguistically Diverse students — many who speak more than one language — showed incredible progress. Thank you to students, staff, families, and our community for lifting them up and being partners in offering the best learning for ALL students! 💙📚🌎

🥳 Huge shoutout to our Giberson Wildcats! 🐾 The 3rd–5th CMAS results from last school year (2025-2026) show impressive growth compared to state trends. This growth is the percentage that grew to Met and Exceeds on the CMAS subject:
• 3rd Grade ELA: +13.4% (CO 3rd Graders +0.3%)
• 3rd Grade Math: +15.8% (CO 3rd Graders −1.2%)
• 4th Grade ELA: +19.4% (CO 4th Graders +5.0%)
• 4th Grade Math: +5.8% (CO 4th Graders +2.5%)
• 5th Grade Math: +6.6% (CO 5th Graders +0.2%)
• 5th Grade ELA: +0.7% (CO 5th Graders +1.9%)

• Week 2 (8/10–8/14): 92.68%
• Week 3 (8/17–8/21): 92.80%
• Week 4 (8/24–8/28): 92.90%
