Sabin 8th graders had a SUPER special day at the U.S. Capitol! 🇺🇸✨

Not only did they explore one of the most important buildings in the country, but they also got a rare behind-the-scenes experience. 🤫 They were invited down a hallway that wasn't part of the public tours—a passage normally reserved for Capitol staff and interns!

The best part? It led them to the statue of Florence Rena Sabin, the trailblazing scientist and namesake of our school. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with a piece of Sabin history right in the heart of our nation's Capitol.

Some memories were too good to keep secret... but thankfully, we captured a few photos! 📸

Mr. Blakely is more than our campus security officer—he’s a trusted mentor, a friendly face in the hallways, and someone who works every day to help make Sabin a safe and welcoming place for students and staff.
