Mitchell High School Class of 2002

Posting this here for anyone who may not have found the new page. SAVE THE DATE: The evening of Saturday October 8th, 2022 in Colorado Springs. First step is for us to gather an initial headcount then we can announce a place. We already have a couple in mind. Thank you to everyone for sharing your ideas. We will not be hosting at the high school as there are too many hoops to jump through. That said, we could potentially arrange a school visit that afternoon for those who are interested. In the meantime, please use this link to RSVP by June 15th. Also please share this with as many of your classmates as you can via email, text, instagram or any way you can reach them. Classes of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. Tickets will go on sale in July!

Mitchell High School Super Reunion - 20ish Years Cheers to 20ish years! Let's get together to celebrate. Mitchell grads from classes of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 are all invited to join us.

Sharing this one more time to see if we can get some more responses.

Please note - this is just preliminary and is helping us find a place to host.

Also - can you take a look at the group page and make sure we have invited everyone we know in our graduating class? I would hate for someone to be left off the invite.

20 YEAR REUNION UPDATE:

The votes have been tallied and we will be having the evening on Saturday July 23rd. We are working on choosing a space but in order to get some accurate pricing quotes we could use a preliminary headcount.

I know for the 10 year reunion - there was a night out, and a family day at the zoo. We do not plan to organize a family piece right now as that is beyond our bandwidth at this time. Doesn't mean we can't revisit something as the date gets closer. The zoo might be a good option again as that is pretty straight forward.

Saturday night we would like to have a dinner with hopefully a band/DJ and dancing. Plan on a 6 p.m. start and we will need everyone to purchase tickets to cover the cost. Cost is TBD but I will get that information out very soon.

Can you please reply if you think you will be able to attend and if you will be brining a plus one? This will allow us to start choosing an appropriate venue and getting cost estimates.

Please and thank you. I genuinely look forward to getting us altogether. I know many people are traveling so let's make this an event worth traveling for!

If there is anyone that would still like to vote on the dates for the reunion, please do so ASAP. So that we can start looking into places that can handle the amount of people that are wanting to attend. We will announce the dates on the 14th of January.

Hi everyone! We are excited to get started planning our 20 year reunion. We realize that we have classmates all over the country (maybe the world) and that life is super busy. But it would be pretty great to see all of your faces. First things first - let's take a poll on the best date for the event. Please vote! Mitchell High School Alumni:

Colorado Springs Promise is starting a new program at Mitchell called the Pathways Program and they are looking for “Pathways Coaches” (PCs). There will be 2-3 PCs in each classroom of 20-30 students, along with one teacher. There will be a topic for each session. The time commitment is one hour a month for February, March and April.

If you are interested in being a Pathways Coach please let either myself or Elizabeth Quevedo ([email protected]) know.

Sad to see another member pf the Marauder Family has passed. Our thoughts are with your family, friends, and firefighter brethren. May you rest in peace!

It is with the deepest regret we announce that Firefighter/EMT Stuart Hardy has lost his fight and died peacefully today surrounded by family and friends. On September 13th at 12:06pm Firefighter Hardy, a husband and father of three little girls, responded to his last alarm. Being a firefighter was his dream, a dream he only got to live for a year, but a dream he made count every day in the differences he made in our community, in our department, and in all the lives he has touched; it was a dream he was living until the end. His family would like to say thank you to the whole community for their love, support, and prayers, and for helping them through this difficult time. We will be posting more information on services as they are available.
