“Being a part of Delta Gamma’s Service for Sight philanthropy has been eye-opening and inspiring. Our service is hands-on and we often work directly with those who we raise money for. I remember touring the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind and being so touched to see how thoughtfully they run their school and appreciative they are of our support. We also often make toys for guide dogs, and it was such a wonderful experience at Anchor Academy to do that activity one evening with DGs from all over the country. I am so thankful to DG for giving me the opportunity to help those in need” - Lydia

“Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, is one of the main things that attracted me to DG during recruitment. In DG, the opportunities presented by the Foundation provoked my interest in my VP: Foundation position. Within my first few weeks as a new member, I volunteered with some sisters at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind, which really reinforced the connection I felt to our Foundation and philanthropy. I think it’s amazing that Delta Gamma has established 5 schools for blind/visually impaired children across the country. It’s especially great that one is located so close to us, as we have the opportunity that many chapters don’t have to work closely with the Anchor Center. Additionally, I am grateful for the resources and scholarship opportunities that the Foundation provides.”
