ANTH 4200/5200: Advanced Topics in Archaeology: Ideational Cognitive Archeology

Ideational cognitive archaeology is a field that is concerned with inferring the mind frames of people in the past based on material remains. What kinds of beliefs did ancient people have? What were these people’s values and norms? What meanings did objects hold for these people? Join us this spring in exploring how archaeologists answer such questions; and ponder the interesting beliefs and perceptions that pervaded the minds of ancient people.
This course will be held in asynchronous online format. For more information, please contact the UCCS’ Center for Cognitive Archaeology, or Dr. Marc Abramiuk directly at: [email protected].
