Pioneer Elementary School

We are so excited to introduce our new Pioneer Wolves! First up, Mrs. Foley!

I am excited to be a new Pioneer teacher! Teaching third grade will be amazing. I am originally from Houston, Texas but have ventured out since college. I originally moved to Oregon and loved it. Then after marriage, I moved around a lot, as my husband is a chemist in the Air Force. We are back to Colorado Springs to stay here for good, after being gone for 7 years. I love Colorado! I have a third grade son and a fifth grade daughter, attending Chinook elementary. Teaching is my calling and a second career, as I originally worked in the nutritional science/food science field. After having children, I started teaching preschool, then substitute taught, before obtaining my teaching license. I'm a big fan of social emotional wellness, making a class a family, and teaching cultural awareness and community building alongside all the main subjects. One unique fact about me is that I am an identical mirror twin (left handed, she's right), married to an identical twin, and my mother in law is an identical twin. I'm looking forward to the great school community at Pioneer --here's to a great school year!

It’s Wolfie Wednesday! Wolfie loves roaming the halls of Pioneer and seeing all the amazing things our students are learning and doing.

Today, Wolfie spotted Second graders having fun practicing addition with partners, Third graders hard at work on their writing portfolio self portraits, and First graders getting their bodies moving with some exercise!

Wolfie can’t wait to see what he discovers next Wednesday!

Happy faces, bright smiles, and so much excitement filled our halls today! Our Pioneer Wolves are thrilled to be back together and ready for an amazing year of learning, growing, and making memories. Here’s to a fantastic school year!

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our sweet Fifth Grade Class and the 25-26 school year. We hope each Pioneer Wolf has a relaxing, and wonderful summer!

Summer Office Hours: Please note the Pioneer office will be staff until June 10th (7:30-3:30). Our office staff will return to the new school year on July 27th (7:30-3:30).
