Happy Labor Day!

Today, we celebrate the hardworking people who help make our families, schools, and communities so special. We are especially grateful for our incredible teachers and staff, whose love and dedication make such a difference in the lives of our little learners each day! 💛

🔨 Contractor: “This job should take about two weeks.”

Preschoolers at the tool bench: “Give us seven minutes, three plastic hammers, and absolutely no adult supervision.” 😂

The project may not be up to code, the crew takes frequent snack breaks, and somebody keeps hammering the same screw—but their teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and imaginations are working overtime!

As our preschoolers scoop, pour, sift, sort, and explore, they’re strengthening fine-motor skills, building vocabulary, practicing problem-solving, and learning through their senses. It may look like play—and it is—but it’s also meaningful, hands-on learning at its best! 💛

Play is learning!

While it may look like she’s simply placing colorful frogs on a log, this little learner is practicing color recognition, sorting, counting, patterning, fine-motor skills, and problem-solving—all through play!

At Calvary Preschool, we know children learn best when they are actively exploring, experimenting, and having fun. Sometimes the biggest learning happens with the tiniest frogs! 💛

🚗 Breaking news from the Calvary Preschool parking lot: Traffic is backed up near the playground due to several Cozy Coupe drivers refusing to follow basic traffic laws. 😂

Today’s violations included excessive honking, bumper-to-bumper traffic, driving with feet outside the vehicle, abandoning cars in the middle of the roadway, and absolutely no one using a turn signal.

Thankfully, all drivers were adorable, and payment was accepted in Goldfish crackers. 🚘🚨

Big work is happening in our dirt area! 🤎

With trucks in their hands and big ideas in their minds, our little learners dug trenches, built roads, hauled dirt, and worked together to create something wonderful. What may look like messy play is actually filled with problem-solving, creativity, cooperation, and hands-on learning.

Sometimes the very best childhood memories begin with a toy truck, a pile of dirt, and a little imagination. 🛻✨
