Holy Apostles Preschool

Holy Apostles Preschool is a licensed and nationally accredited NAEYC program for children ages three through six.

The program is developmental in nature, focusing on the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of each child. Holy Apostles Preschool is accredited by the National Association of Education of Young Children (NAEYC) which ensures that the preschool meets and exceeds the standards set for for high-quality early childhood education. Currently, these rigorous standards are achiev

ed by only 6-8% of preschools in the country. The benchmarks for high quality programs include requirements in the areas of teacher training, curriculum, health and safety, physical environment, and relationships with families and the community. The preschool uses The Creative Curriculum which provides the structure for children to learn and grow based on a developmental continuum. The preschool is staffed by highly qualified early childhood professionals who are also trained in infant and child CPR and pediatric First Aid. Each class is led by a teacher, who is aided by an assistant. Periodically a parent volunteer helps in the classroom which allows us to provide a ratio of one adult to four or five children. Family involvement is encouraged to enhance the role parents have as the first and most important teachers of their children. In the atmosphere of a Christian community, social events throughout the year provide family members with the opportunity to come together, share ideas, and have fun. Parents are welcome to observe the program by contacting the director and arranging a time to visit. Meet Mrs. Heyler!
⁣
We are so blessed to have Mrs. Heyler as part of the Holy Apostles Preschool team!
⁣
A wife, mother, and soon-to-be grandmother, Mrs. Heyler has been married for more than 30 years and is the proud mom of three amazing children plus one wonderful daughter-in-law. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling while living in Germany, where her husband served in the Air Force. Their military journey took their family around the U.S. and to Germany before they made Colorado Springs home in 2014.

After earning her master’s degree, the Lord led Mrs. Heyler to the classroom, where she has served as an aide, lead teacher, co-teacher, and music teacher. She loves Jesus, loves people, and especially loves sharing the love of Christ with her students.
⁣
She is thrilled to be part of the Holy Apostles family and looks forward to helping our little ones grow in faith, wonder, and joy!
⁣
When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking, hiking, paddle boarding, or participating in Bible studies.

Meet Our Director: Mrs. McGarry!

We are blessed to have Mrs. McGarry leading our Holy Apostles Preschool community!
⁣
Mrs. McGarry has been part of the Holy Apostles Preschool family since 2016, serving as an assistant teacher, lead teacher, and now director. Her connection to HAP goes back even further—she volunteered for many years while her own three children attended the preschool.
⁣
Mrs. McGarry holds a degree in Elementary Education from Regis University, along with a special endorsement in Early Childhood Education. She also holds her professional teaching license and director credentials through the State of Colorado.
⁣
With a deep passion for early childhood education and a genuine love for nurturing young learners, Mrs. McGarry feels incredibly grateful to do what she loves each day. She is dedicated to creating a loving, joyful environment where children can learn, grow, and experience God’s love.
⁣
Outside of preschool, Mrs. McGarry enjoys spending time with her husband and children in the beautiful Colorado mountains. She also loves reading, music, crafting, and sharing her faith with children.
