Do you all remember that commercial from the 80's, where the dad finds his son's drug stash, goes into his room and demands that his son tell him where he learned to do drugs?

The kid starts to stammer and stutter, but the dad is insistent, saying "Who taught you to do this?"

Remember what the kid says? I can still see and hear him, as clear as day. He says...

"YOU ALRIGHT! I LEARNED IT BY WATCHING YOU!"

And the voice over says, "Parents who use drugs have children who use drugs."

And so it is with self belief. Self love. Self loathing. Self image.

Parents who hate their bodies have children who hate their bodies.

Mothers who self loathe raise daughters who self loathe.

Women who think they're not enough have children who think they're not enough.

It's sad but true. Whether we speak a word or not, our kids are watching us, and they are learning how to think about themselves by how we think about ourselves.

We can talk a good game, but they're gonna see our walk much more clearly.

So let's change the game shall we?

Let's entertain the flip side...

Women who love their bodies raise daughters who love their bodies. (YES!)

Parents who self love have children who self love. (YES!)

Mothers who believe they're enough have children who believe they're enough. (YES!)
