The Colorado Springs Healthcare High School is a public high school in Colorado Springs, designed to address the regional healthcare workforce gap by pairing rigorous academics with health-science pathways. Opening in Fall 2027 with 100 ninth-grade students and growing to 400 students in grades 9–12 by 2030, The Colorado Springs Healthcare High School prepares “young healers” with heart, hands, and purpose through industry-aligned certifications, college credits, and supervised clinical experiences.

Dr. Monica Yoo, Associate Dean, and Ashley Lawless, MA, Teaching Professor and Early Childhood Education Faculty Director, recently presented at the Pacific Rim International Conference on Disability and Diversity, hosted by the Center on Disability Studies (CDS), College of Education, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Their presentation, Advancing Inclusive Postsecondary Pathways: A Collaborative Apprenticeship Model, highlights important work supporting inclusive education.

June 4, 2026 marked the final meeting day of the 2026 cohort LPP Signature Program-Local Government Day.
The cohort engaged with Mayor ‘Yemi’ Mobolade, City Council members, and local planning leaders to hear powerful reflections on purpose, leadership, and community impact.

This wonderful group of local leaders will be graduating from the LPP Signature Program very soon.
