We, at IVES, are deeply honored to be recognized as a Purple Star School! We are committed to supporting and caring for our military students and families!
As a military mom, this recognition is especially meaningful to me. Our IVES community understands the unique challenges military families face, including frequent moves and time apart from loved ones. At IVES, we strive to provide consistent support, care, and connection for every student.
Our student leaders help welcome and support military-connected students, and our incredible military family liaison, builds strong relationships with students and families each week.
Our goal is to be a beacon for military families moving into the POWER Zone in D49. We want these brave families to know that they are supported, valued, celebrated, and cared for every single day their children are part of the Inspiration View Elementary School community.
We are honored to be recognized as a Purple Star School and are committed to continuing—and growing—this important work in support of every military student and family we serve.

Today was super fun at Ives! Secret staff dress up day and we did throwback Thursday! We also celebrated a secret class who could name what a group of porcupines is called! Congrats to Ms. Fauver’s class!

Military-connected children’s resilience is remarkable, but they shouldn’t have to navigate challenges alone.
This April, we’re highlighting the importance of consistent support for military-connected students.

On April 1st, our 5th grade Battle of the Books teams traveled to Evans Elementary to compete in a district competition. We had a ton of fun and also brought home some first place ribbons! These competitors will continue to read from a list of 40 books as they prepare for the regional competition later this month. Way to go, Flyers!!
