This summer, nine undergraduate researchers spent eight weeks exploring how mathematical models and computational tools can help create fairer voting districts. Through Colorado College’s Mathematical and Computational Undergraduate Research Experience, students investigated redistricting, representation, gerrymandering, and more while applying abstract concepts to real-world questions.

Grace Hale ’20 returned to Colorado College’s Summer Music Festival this summer to premiere Colored Glass, a new composition commissioned for the 2026 festival.

Hale is the first alum to premiere a composition written specifically for the event. Her work reflects the curiosity, creativity, and willingness to embrace uncertainty that shaped her CC education.

Today, Colorado College launches Claim Our Space: Strategic Plan 2025–2030—a bold, shared vision for the next chapter of our institution.

Claim Our Space brings our collective priorities into one cohesive framework, charting a course toward academic distinction, operational sustainability, and societal impact.

The plan is grounded in four strategic priorities:

• Institutional Strength: Strengthening the systems, resources, people, and culture that support CC’s long-term success.
• Reclaiming the Liberal Arts: Investing in faculty, scholarship, academic innovation, and the transformative student experience.
• Deepening Engagement: Expanding CC’s reach, strengthening connections with alumni and community partners, and elevating the College’s visibility and impact.
• Excellence in Outcomes: Advancing student success, career readiness, and championship-level athletics while strengthening support for every student.

Together, these priorities provide a shared direction for how we will grow, adapt, and build on what makes Colorado College distinctive.

This is our time to claim our space.
