The Happy House in-Home Daycare

Since we had all four seasons in May we had quite a variety of activities. We played in snow, rain, and sun! We started our garden and each child got to pick their own seeds to plant. We planted spinach, lettuce, rhubarb, tomatoes, snow peas, cucumbers, sweet peppers, and basil. We also planted a variety of flowers.
Additionally, we practiced fine motor skills and pre writing skills by tearing paper and then gluing them to create flowers.
We also focused on kindness. We picked a friend to write a letter, we worked together to create a masterpiece, and we started our kindness charts.

I’m incredibly honored to share that I was nominated as a Colorado Early Childhood Champion as part of Colorado’s 150/250 commemoration.

Early childhood education has always been close to my heart, and it’s such a meaningful thing to be recognized alongside others who are working to make a difference for children, families, and communities across Colorado.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, trusted me with their children, encouraged me, and shared this journey with me over the years. The work we do in early childhood matters deeply, and I’m proud to be part of a field that helps shape the future one child at a time. ❤️

April was full of activities and adventures!

We went for a few trips to the zoo! We even did a scavenger hunt at the zoo on a rainy day. The kids were so bummed when we had to leave early.

We also went for some bike rides and visited some parks! These kiddos are all getting so good at riding their bikes!

We learned about outer space, air transportation, examined tiny bugs, and celebrated Easter.

Finally, we celebrated two very special birthdays!

March was busy and we spent so much time outside! We’re already over 125 hours outside for the year ☀️
This month we celebrated Dr.Seuss’s birthday, and St.Patricks Day! We played in Oobleck, dressed whacky, made magic color changing cookies, and made leprechauns. We also had our first few water days, and we took a few naps outside!
