Synopsis - The Permanence of the Soul is an ancient question. Its answer is a foundational component of our worldview, acting as an existential anchor that influences our morality, defines our purpose, and informs our beliefs about death. Depending on the answer, it dictates whether we live life as a single, physical event or as a part of a larger, eternal journey.
One of the Landmarks of Universal Co-Masonry is the belief in the Permanence of the Soul, and although Masonic Ritual does not dogmatize one philosophic or spiritual position over another, it does urge one to discover what one believes about the final destination of one’s own soul.
