Our kiddos had an absolute blast creating special keepsakes for their moms and loved ones this week. Watching their excitement, pride, and love shine through every little handmade gift melted our hearts. These are the moments that remind us how precious childhood truly is.

As we follow The Colorado Springs School District 11 for closures, delays, and early releases, District 11 has announced a 2-hour delay this morning. Per our parent handbook, Precious Cargo Childcare and Education will open at 8:00 AM today.

Today is Cinco de Mayo, and we’re taking the opportunity to fully immerse our kiddos in culture and learning. We truly believe that helping children become culturally aware at a young age builds understanding, respect, and empathy for others. When children are exposed to different traditions, foods, languages, and celebrations, it helps them see that the world is diverse and that those differences are something to appreciate, not question.

At this age, they’re naturally curious, so experiences like this give them a foundation for open-minded thinking. It also helps them better understand their peers, build stronger social connections, and feel proud of their own backgrounds. Cultural learning isn’t just about today it's about raising kind, aware, and respectful little humans for the future. 🤍❤️💚

Today we released our butterflies and watched them begin their journey such a beautiful reminder of how we can care for our planet.

Take a moment today to do something meaningful for the Earth—plant a flower, pick up litter, or simply spend time appreciating nature. Every small action matters 🌱

For the last few weeks, our Ocean Explorers classroom has been preparing something special for Earth Week

We didn’t just want to celebrate we wanted to contribute to our beautiful planet 🌏

Did you know even one butterfly helps the Earth? Butterflies are pollinators, meaning they help plants grow by spreading pollen from flower to flower. This supports our food, flowers, and overall ecosystem.

Through this experience, our children learned about the butterfly life cycle, patience as they waited for changes, responsibility in caring for living things, and a deeper understanding of how nature works. They also built observation skills, new vocabulary, and a connection to caring for our Earth.

April is Autism Awareness Month, and it means so much to us here at Precious Cargo!! 🧡

We celebrate each child for who they are and how they learn because every child is unique and valued in our village.

A big thank you to our amazing RBTs who come into our classrooms and support our children daily. Your patience, care, and dedication truly make a difference 🧩

Today we were surprised with donuts, and last week one of our families brought in so many fun snacks for our kiddos for Fun Friday. These thoughtful gestures truly mean so much to us.

Your support, kindness, and appreciation never go unnoticed. We feel so lucky to have a community that loves on us just as much as we love on your children. It truly takes a village, and we have the best one!

We had such a fun-filled week at Precious Cargo last week! 💛

The kids loved dying Easter eggs, getting creative with their Easter art projects, and of course the excitement of our Easter egg hunt! We wrapped it all up with a cozy movie day together.
