WOW! As usual, I had a great time at the Homeschool Resource Fair this last Friday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to ask questions, take flyers, and sign up for future workshops, support groups, and events. I got to thinking a lot about human connection while at this event. In that spirit, I'm going to work on community connections this summer, while we have a small break from our usual schedule of activities. So let's start a post about resources and see if we can't make more connections this summer!

The Homeschool Resource Fair is open! I'm in my usual spot on the upper floor of the 21 C library (with one of my kids) and my other kids are helping out at the Homeschool Science Colorado - Science Olympiad table, inside The Venue.

Save the Date: Homeschool Resource Fair at the 21C Library on April 10th from 10 am to 1 pm.
I will be there with my table, just like the last 2 years. A list of other vendors is available at the website.

Oof, it has been a difficult season. In addition to homeschooling my first high schooler, which has in itself been a journey, my client management company unexpectedly closed their business in the middle of the holiday season. That has resulted in manual scheduling since November.
Now, with a few minutes to dedicate to finding a new client management system, I hope to have it all resolved soon. Thank you for your patience.

I know, I know. I'm 8 days late, but that's par for the course, right?
Since last year, I have learned that although I may promise tips and tricks throughout the month, I likely will forget and the few that I planned and scheduled will run out before I remember. The intentions were good, but the follow through was F tier.
So, no promises this year, just offers of support and information when I do post.

I'm feeling fine and recovered from my illness 2 weeks ago, but the residual cough is causing me to lose my voice and my doctor suggested that perhaps my profession wasn't helping my voice to recover. (I know. So very rude of her to point out what I already knew and just didn't want to consider.)
I don't have a definite timeline, but I'll update again at the end of the week if I need to extend the time that my office is closed. I'm so sorry about this inconvenience. Those who have scheduled sessions should have already received an email about rescheduling. If you have any trouble, please email or text me. I will still be responding to those this week.

If you could go forward in time 3 months and have one new skill, what would it be?

This weekend, my office was closed as I drove to Nebraska with Homeschool Science Colorado - Science Olympiad for Science Olympiad Nationals.
I'm back to work, but it's slow going after such an exciting weekend: Pictured below is the sports center during Opening Ceremonies on Friday night.

For those of you in the midst of the end-of school chaos, filled with recitals, plays, and concert, keep breathing. We're going to get through it.
Also, HOW is it almost summer already? My evening availability will be much more open after June 2nd.

It has been a chaotic week, as always this time of year. Science Olympiad State competition was this past weekend and that normally denotes an end to the season. This year, both teams made it to Nationals, so while trying to make arrangements for that, I was putting together my table items for the Homeschool Resource Fair at the 21c library. I made it and talked to so many amazing homeschool parents today!
