Good luck to Satori Endurance Team athlete Benjamin Townsend as he kicks off his season tomorrow at the Calamorro Skyrace in Spain!

This marks Benjamin’s first skyrace of the year, and he’s coming in fired up after a solid offseason of training and prep.

Time to put the work to the test and start the season strong!

Let’s go, Benjamin!

At Jeremy Strom coaching we talk a lot about finishing strong and running through the finish line wether in a race or in life.
Young Oliver is a perfect example of this flying through the finish of his 400 m race!

Coaches talk a lot about preparing to RACE and rarely talk about preparing to TRAIN. The foundations of training preparation are simple:

~Sleep- quality sleep-this is where recovery and adaptation occur
~Stress- managing stress-from Life-from training/racing is key to minimizing injury and maximizing performance
~Hydration- Most of us are chronically de-hydrated. A greater focus on hydration will provide immediate life, training and racing improvements
~Nutrition- While I am not a nutritionist/dietician I can tell you that intuitive eating is key. Eat what makes your body feel good, if it bloats you or makes you tired take it out for a while and notice your energy improve quickly
~Physical Well Being- notice how your body feels and make adjustments to your life/training/racing to minimize pain and maximize feeling good.

As you continue to focus on the foundation (Sleep, stress mgmt, hydration, nutrition, physical)

The performance layers are the next layers to put some focus and intention on:

Breath, movement prep (neural prep), movement training (athletic), running training, recovery, rejuvenation.

While it looks like a lot, with consistency, a little becomes a lot… and a lot gets you to the top!

Need guidance on your training, DM me to set up a conversation about your success.
