We’re Looking for Parents to Join the SAC!

Are you a new parent at Chinook Trail Elementary? Looking for a way to become more involved in our school community and have a voice in important school decisions? Are you a retuning parent who wants to get more involved?

We’d love to have you join us!

The Chinook Trail School Accountability Committee (SAC) is looking for parents and family members who are interested in serving on the committee—or simply attending a meeting to learn more about what we do.
SAC provides an important opportunity for families and school staff to work together to support student success and help make Chinook Trail an even better place to learn and grow.

🌿 What Does SAC Do?
The School Accountability Committee helps our school:
📈 Monitor progress toward the goals and action plans in our school improvement plan.
💰 Review the school budget and make recommendations regarding how funds are used.
📚 Make recommendations related to student achievement and learning.
🛡️ Provide input regarding student and school safety.
🐾 Share ideas about school improvement initiatives and strategies.
🏫 Stay informed about the work of the District Accountability Committee.
🐯 Come Join Us!

You do not need to commit to serving on the committee to attend a meeting. Come check it out, meet other Chinook Trail families, learn more about our school, and see how you can be part of the team!

All meetings are held from 4:00 - 5:00PM in the Tiger Den (library) on the following dates: Sept. 15, Oct. 6, Nov. 10, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Apr. 13, May 5

The joy was evident at 3rd grade recess today. Laughter, running, swinging, and climbing.

We had our 1st house assemblies today. Mr. Schumaker and Mrs. Birringer taught a respect lesson and we checked the leaderboard. Students showed great assembly behavior today!

We did it again! Congratulations to our students and staff for being one of the top 10 schools in the Pikes Peak region on the state CMAS scores. Proud of our Tigers!
