is devastated by the loss of one of our community partners, Ralph A. Vigil (Dr. Roybal’s primo). We extend our condolences to his family. Read more about Ralph’s contributions in The Santa New Mexican’s article about his life and work.

Vigil, a longtime community leader who pushed for Pecos River protections, died May 16, 2025, at the age of 46.
