Posting this so people know - this started as a business page. I am a CALT and work as a dyslexia therapist but I’m no Louisa Moats or any other huge name in literacy.

You can’t drill comprehension. It is a skill that comes from having a solid foundation in fluency, vocabulary, PA, and phonics. Reading in depth about a variety of topics helps comprehension. Audio books, life experiences, exposure to grade level vocabulary and material are great ideas.
