Students at Achieve Online enjoyed a laser tag and gaming fieldtrip at The Summit yesterday. It was a good way to connect with classmates, compete in the arena, and celebrate the end of the first quarter of the school year.

Achieve Online Student Council just finished up their first semester fundraiser and give back program. They used all proceeds to support their local school community. Here’s a picture of the students restocking the shelves of the Roy J Wasson food pantry.

October is a month full of celebrations! We celebrate our school principal during National Principals Month. Be sure to thank them for all they do for our school! We also celebrate Arts Month in October, so be on the lookout for a variety of activities that showcase the arts. National Custodian Day is October 2 this year, and we are sending a huge shoutout to our building manager, technicians, and everyone who keeps our school clean and maintained. On October 5, we celebrate World Teacher Day, so be sure to send a message to your teachers letting them know how much you appreciate them. National Coaches Day is October 6, and Education Support Professionals Week is October 17-21. On October 12, it’s Walk to School Day so take the opportunity to get some fresh air and walk to school, or walk part of the way to school that day. Finally, October 10-14 is National School Lunch Week, where we share our gratitude for our Food and Nutrition Services team for providing nutritious meals every school day. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who is in each of these critically important roles. YOU are what makes a difference in the lives of our students every day!

Count Day is Monday, October 3rd
In-Building Students on Oct 3rd Count Day - Half day early dismissal …and PIZZA!
Students who choose to attend in the building on October 3rd, will be dismissed right before lunch at 11:30 a.m. Please plan to leave campus no later than Noon. Achieve Online has ordered pizza and we hope you will grab a slice or two on your way out!
All Achieve Students on Oct 3rd Count Day - Important 1-day only assignment!
Count Day is an important day for Achieve Online. School funding for staff, special programs, and facilities will be determined based on the number of students enrolled on October 3rd. On this day, students must log in and complete a special assignment in each of their classes. The count day assignment will be visible at the top of the main page for each Schoology class. The assignment is only available for 24 hours on October 3rd. Please be sure to submit the assignment on this day! You will help our school count your enrollment and improve your grade as well.

Achieve Online's student council donated doggie care kits to All-Breed Dog Rescue. The students helped to order dog toys, treats, leashes, and goodies for the pups at All-Breed Dog Rescue. They organized the orders into gift bags for people adopting these pets in the future.
