One exceptionally nice family in my studio is moving to Alabama. They will be situated in Troy but don't mind driving to Dothan or Enterprize for violin lessons. The oldest kid is 9, shifting, using vibrato, Rieding B minor Concerto, and mid Suzuki book 2, skipping ahead fast. Please, PM me if you have leads. Can't thank you enough!

It’s been a long while since my last blog. Darn! May 31? Really? Time truly flies, it seems it was just yesterday! This piece (below) is...

Bravo, Jory!!! April weather…the usual for Colorado… winter followed by summer, hot, snowing, hot, hailing, hot, freezing, blowing, turn on the air. But what’s also very unsettling and hectic at this time of the year with the school year and the orchestra concert season coming to an end, are student and my o...
Congrats to Capri, Kyla, Arwen and Lydia for their excellent performances at the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs Young Artist Competition yesterday. As far as I am concerned, you all deserve an award for your talents, artistry and work ethic. I am positive that appreciation from the outside world is coming, we just need to improve our game a bit. :-)
I am especially thrilled for Lydia McConkie. This school year she already won the Colorado State MTNA competition in October, and the Youth Symphony's Concerto Competition in January. Now she got second in the competition yesterday!
Lydia is going to be a featured soloist with the Colorado Springs Yoth Symphony on May 7 and with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs on June 4. Here are ticket and info links for these events:

Happy Birthmonth, Bach!
“Bach” with another post! March is full of all sorts of holidays, real and made up; there is an Internationals Women’s Day, which – surprise! – turned into a month (I really don’t mind this, ha-ha, if it means more flowers and presents), then there’s Pi Day, and St. Patrick’s Day. I have other reasons to celebrat...
