A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Thanksgiving meal on the 20th. It was such a special time, and we loved getting to share that moment with our kiddos and their families. Your support, smiles, and presence mean so much to us!

We had the best time at Cookies with Grandparents yesterday! 🥰🍪 Thank you to all of our amazing grandparents who came out to spend the afternoon with us. Your love, support, and presence mean the world to our kiddos and us— you truly make these moments so special. 💕

We are so grateful for the memories made yesterday and for the joy you bring into our children’s lives every single day.

✨Ms. Mel✨
Ms. Mel works in the Lilac room with children ages 12-18 months and has 2 years of experience in early childhood education. She loves being around kids and watching them learn new things everyday as they grow. Her favorite children's book to share is Zabbit; The Magic in You, and she enjoys singing "wheels on the Bus" with her students. Mel's favorite classroom activity is doing crafts, and her go-to snack is Ritz peanut butter crackers. A fun fact about her is that she loves to color and spend time with her own kids. Her hope for her students is that they have fun while they are here and know how much she enjoys teaching them and watching them grow.

✨Ms. Mariah✨
Ms. Mariah teaches in the indigo room with the 12-15 month age group and has been working in early childhood education for four years. She loves teaching because she gets to impact children during the most important years of their lives. One of her favorite children's books is The Rainbow Fish, and she enjoys singing Disney music with her students. Mariah's favorite classroom activities include learning through play, table time, and feeding time where the children eat together family style. Her go-to snack is M&M's and coke. A fun fact about her is that she is bilingual and did not speak English until she was four years old, learning it through school. What she hopes most for her students is that they feel so loved and cared for her and that their hearts never forget her.

Meet our Blue and Green room teachers-

✨Ms. Angelica✨
Ms. Angelica works with children ages 6 months to 1 year and has a total of five years of experience in early childhood education. She loves teaching because it allows her to help babies grow and learn new things each day. Her favorite children's book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?, and she enjoys singing "Baby Shark" with the kids. Her favorite classroom activity is outside playtime, as it gives the children a chance to explore and play with different toys. Her go-to snack is hot Cheetos, and a fun fact about her is that she has been working in childcare since graduating high school. Her greatest hope for her students is that they grow into very smart and adventurous kids.

✨Mrs. Anny✨
Mrs. Anny works in Blue room with infants to one year old's and has been with the program for four months. She loves teaching because she cares for children as if they were a part of her own family. Anny enjoys watching babies grow, learn, and make progress every single day. Her favorite book to share with them is Noah's Ark , and she loves singing "Baby Shark". Her favorite classroom activity is spending time outside and playing with toys. Her go-to drink is sweet tea, and her hope for her students is that they grow to be happy , smart, and confident learners.

Meet our Lead Teacher on our littles side of our center!

✨Ms. Eva✨
Ms. Eva works with infants to 1-year olds and has been with Days of Grace since its very first day. Now in her 4th year, she cherishes every moment with her babies, especially seeing their beautiful smiles or watching them dance to music. She loves teaching them how to sit, roll over, hold their bottles, crawl, and take their first steps. Her favorite book to read with them is The Ugly Duckling, and she enjoys singing song like "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Baby Shark," delighting in the joy on their faces. Eva loves all classroom activities, and her go-to snacks are cookies and tea. Outside of work, she treasures time with her grandbabies, who are her world. Her greatest hope for her students is that they continue to do what they loves-and she truly loves her babies.

Meet our directors!

Jessica Thompson, our amazing Co-Director! With 3 years of experience in child care, Jessica is passionate about making a lasting impact—not only in our community but in the lives of the children we serve. She believes the early years are the most important for growth, with the brain developing the fastest from birth to age five, and she’s honored to help shape the future. Her favorite children’s book is Junie B. Jones, and she loves singing “Open Shut Them” with the kids. When she’s not at work, you might catch her snacking on Cheez-It mix. For Jessica, the best part of her role is the incredible sense of community—both with the families we care for and the staff who feel like family. Fun fact: She has a pet turtle named Leo (yes, like the Ninja Turtle!) who you can meet in our front office.

Melinda Alexander, co-director here at KC. I am starting my 38th year working with children. I wanted to be a teacher all my life. I was inspired by my aunt. My favorite shape is a star and my favorite sone it “Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star”. I eat Flip Side crackers a box at a time if allowed. I love coming to work and seeing all the sweet smiles. A funny thing about me is I am colorblind. If I could have a super power it would be to create kindness for everyone everywhere!!!

🌞 We FINALLY have shade! 🌞

After a long wait, our shade structures are officially up and ready to keep our kiddos cool and comfortable on sunny days! 🛝💛

A huge thank you to Ashley Wulfjen, Realtor at Hunter Ranch and Realty for her generous donation a couple of years ago and for always showing our center so much love and support. Ashley, you are always in our hearts, and we’re beyond grateful for the difference you continue to make for our children. ❤️
